The Duckworth Late Summer Party has become the traditional start-of-term event for publishers and agents. Mostly, it has taken place at the October Gallery; and a third tradition is lovely weather. This year, the venue moved to the Estorick Collection in Islington, and the weather as 6.30pm approached was atrocious. But, on cue, the skies cleared, and the only reminder of the earlier rain was the occasional fat droplet from the overhanging trees in the gallery's courtyard. |
