Hodder & Stoughton has acquired Matt Whyman's first non-fiction book for adults – OINK! MY LIFE WITH MINIPIGS – for publication in February 2011. Non-Fiction Publisher Rupert Lancaster acquired world rights in a pre-emptive deal with LAW's Julian Alexander.

altLaura Barber at Portobello has acquired CRUEL BRITANNIA, by award-winning Guardian investigative reporter Ian Cobain, which “will reveal the hidden story of Britain’s secretive and shameful record on torture”. Barber bought UK & Commonwealth rights, including Canada, on proposal from Kate Shaw at the Viney Agency for publication in spring 2012.
