Widely distributed video for Taking Up Space, first title from Stormzy's imprint
Chelsea Kwakye and Ore Ogunbiyi's Taking Up Space: The Black Girl's Manifesto for Change, the first title from Stormzy's #Merky Books imprint at Penguin, is already getting coverage in advance of publication on 27 June.
Adidas London chose Kwakye and Ogunbiyi as part of its channel takeover featuring women who are addressing equality in industries across London. The video about them and their book reached a following of 1.5m people, and Stormzy shared the video with his 1.9m followers. The video is also on the authors' @takingupspacebook channel.
In Taking Up Space, Kwakye and Ogunbiyi - both Cambridge graduates - offer a guide for young people and a manifesto for change in education.
