The Leadership Lab by Chris Lewis and Pippa Malmgren takes overall title at the Business Book Awards

The book was also the winner of the Leadership category at the awards, which were presented on Tuesday evening.

Chris Lewis and Pippa Malmgren said: "This book contains the distilled knowledge of many global leaders, from many countries in all kinds of organizations. We were privileged to be able to collate, structure and interpret this wisdom. The resulting book is an important guide that will help leaders better face the greatest challenges in the history of mankind."

Helen Kogan, Kogan Page’s managing director, said: "We’re delighted that The Leadership Lab was recognised by the judges for its forward thinking and challenging approach to leadership. The award is a great testament to the hard work of both the authors and the Kogan Page team."

According to Kogan Page: 'The Leadership Lab explains why the old rules no longer apply to leadership in the 21st century and shows aspiring leaders how to blaze a trail in this new world order and be the best leader they can be.'
