New imprint for titles outside the mainstream
Jess Chandler, co-founder of Test Centre Publications and of House Sparrow Press, has set up a new imprint, Prototype. It will publish works "outside the mainstream", in various genres and disciplines.
Test Centre Publications came to an end last year (though Test Centre Books continues as a bookseller), and House Sparrow is an "occasional" publisher, with titles on its list by Anne Michaels and Andrey Platonov.
Prototype has announced four forthcoming titles: Try To Be Better, edited by Sam Buchan-Watts and Lavinia Singer, in which writers, artists and thinkers are inspired by and respond to the works of WS Graham; Fatherhood by Kaleb Klaces, a novel in prose and poetry; Plainspeak by Astrid Alben, "unorthodox alter-ego-thinking-out-louder poems"; and alphabet poems: for kids! by Emily Critchley, Michael Kindellan and Alison Honey Woods.
