Allen's 17th cookbook celebrates home cooking with 100 new recipes
Joanna Copestick, publisher at Kyle Books, has bought a new cookbook from Darina Allen. Published on 19 September, One Pot Feeds All will be Allen's 17th book. Its aim is to celebrate home cooking, and it includes recipes ranging from soups to curries to desserts.
Copestick said: "Darina has long been a champion of wholesome food made using fresh ingredients. Here she shares 100 new, simple home‐cooked dishes that can be prepared with minimum fuss for maximum flavour."
Allen said: "This book is for all of you super busy people who dash home, tired and exhausted from work, pick up a bag of groceries but still want to cook a wholesome meal from scratch for your family. Home cooking is by far the most important kind of food... so here are my favourite recipes for one pot, one casserole, one roasting tin of deliciousness."
Allen is best known as the author of Ballymaloe Cookery Course and Forgotten Skills of Cooking, which won the André Simon award in 2009. She set up Ireland's first farmers' market and won the Guild of Food Writers' Lifetime Achievement award in 2013.
