First books to appear this autumn
New York's Princeton Architectural Press, publisher of books on architecture, design, photography, landscape and visual culture, has formed a partnership with Italian lifestyle brand, Moleskine, to be the licensed publisher and distributor of Moleskine Books.
Under the agreement, which dates to 1 January, PA Press will take over editing, production, design, marketing, distribution and sales responsibilities.
The first jointly published titles will be Paul Rudolph: Inspiration and Process in Architecture and Paul Rand: Inspiration and Process in Design, to be published in October.
Founded in 1981 to publish on classicism, architectural design, landscape design, history, photography and visual culture, n the last six years, the Press has broadened its scope, introducing a children’s list and a line of stationery products.
Moleskine was created in 1997 with the aim of bringing back to life the 'little black notebooks' used by artists and thinkers and now the Moleskine line includes a family of paper objects, smart notebooks, apps, travel accessories and writing tools.
Princeton Architectural Press publisher Kevin Lippert said: "It is an indescribable honour to partner with Moleskine, surely the world’s best-known maker of journals for artists, architects, designers, and writers. We will build the Moleskine Books series on the foundation they’ve laid, with books on inspiration, process, and projects from among the talented creatives who are drawn to the quality of Moleskine and Princeton Architectural Press."
Paul Rudolph and Paul Rand will be published in October.
