BookMachine launches new consultancy BookMachine Works at LBF
On the Wednesday of the London Book Fair, publishing networking organisation BookMachine launched a new creative agency for publishers. BookMachine Works will cover event management and programming, digital and social media marketing, project management, website management and launches, book launches, and copy-writing and copy-editing.
“We are launching BookMachine Works with a strong brand and proven track record of industry events and marketing campaigns," said BookMachine founder Laura Summers. "In 2017, outsourcing is the norm in the publishing industry, but experts are needed to make it run successfully. Our team can manage events, run marketing campaigns and help with copy-writing or project management - we can help you to scale up quickly, or step in when you need an extra pair of hands on deck. By bringing together five successful industry professionals, we are able to leverage the right skills for each project."
The new BookMachine Works team includes, as well as Summers, Bea Long, Nicola Slavin, Suzanne Kavanagh, and Sarah Richardson.
"I've known Laura for years and I've been hugely impressed by what she's achieved with BookMachine," commented Kavanagh at the launch. "When she heard I was leaving my old job and doing some freelancing work, I was really excited. I'm absolutely delighted to be involved in BookMachine Works."
