November festival will feature three FT Weekend events
The Baillie Gifford Borders Book Festival, this year being held in November at Abbotsford, home of Sir Walter Scott, has struck a media partnership with the Financial Times.
The 60-plus event at the festival (2-7 November) will include three hosted by FTWeekend.
The FT events cover the rise of nationalism south of the border, with panellists including Gavin Esler; the pros and cons of a Scottish currency, with economist Sir John Kay among others; and Afghanistan with Tom Tugendhat MP.
Baillie Gifford is title sponsor of the festival, for which support also comes from McInroy & Wood, Cullen Kilshaw, Saltire Roofing & Building Ltd, Davidson Chalmers Stewart, DM Hall, Scottish Borders Council, and Creative Scotland.
