Festival will take place - it is hoped before a live audience - from 30 July to 1 August
Ticket selling has begun early for the 2021 Primadonna festival, due to take place from 30 July to 1 August. The festival, previously at Laffitts Hall in Suffolk, is moving to a new, larger venue, the Museum of East Anglian Life, thanks to an Arts Council grant.
Primadonna is "the first literary festival in the UK to give prominence to work by women and working class, disabled and BIPOC writers of all genders".
Festival director Catherine Riley said: "We're as confident as we can be that we'll go ahead with a physical event next year. The new venue gives us more options for COVID-secure seating if restrictions are still in place in the summer, but we'll maintain all the magic of the first festival: beautiful surroundings, an intimate atmosphere and a safe space in which to talk, share ideas and make new friends - as well as a lineup of stellar talent."
